Ben Kuczma
“Climbing has the unique aspect of being an individual pursuit that allows for social interactions and sharing. While focusing on personal goals, we can all still encourage and cheer on all our partners and friends as they push themselves and see their own goals realized. Climbing for me is a beautiful puzzle that I love to piece together, combining proper movement, mental strength and stamina is something that draws me to climbing again and again.” – Ben Kuczma
Outdoor Skills And Thrills Climbing Instructor
Born and raised in Southern Ontario, Ben moved to Thunder Bay to attend Lakehead University. Instantly falling in love with the area, Ben stayed and the rest as they say – is history.
He spends his free time climbing, hiking, fishing. If it gets him outside, he will be stoked on it.
Always a good partner to climb with, if he’s around u know he is going to keep the hype and stoke high, never shy to shout encouragement to climbers of all levels and skills.
He’s as excited for someone who just top roped their first 5.6 (easy climb) as he is for someone who red pointed a summer long 5.13 project (expert level climbing). Already having some FAs (first ascents) and plenty of new route development under his belt, Ben’s excitement and expertise in climbing grows with every passing day. Even though he has only been climbing a few years he has progressed very quickly and has a strict focus of safety while always having a fun experience.
